Current Gallery: angels ( piece)
These paintings all have angels. Angels are shown in their heavenly element, on the earth but in the appearance as seen by human eyes looking at a holy being, often in ministry or worship. These angels are not shown in a way most people are accustomed to, but when I paint them, these paintings represent how I most often think of them. They are all painted freehand, some very rapidly, some by considering whether the light of God's glory might be reflected in a particular scene. However they are shown, angels are never to be worshiped. They were created by God, just as we were created by God. Each is given a name, and we know the names of some from Scripture. Not until we get to heaven will we learn the names of all who have served us in this life, and some will be people, others angels, and some will be angels who have for a time had the appearance of people. If you recognize an angel in one of these paintings, perhaps the painting is one that you should get, either as an original or a reprint. Either way, reflect on the wonders of God's creation as represented in these paintings.
