IGrowing up on the seashore, I never dreamed I would be making a living as an artist selling pressed seaweed pictures. Seaweed is more than just that nuisance that wraps around your legs, or sticks to your feet at the beach. I harvest all my own seaweed, press it between paper, netting and heavy books. When it is dry, the colors, textures and shapes tell me what to create. It is an amazing medium, and I have never seen anyone working with it except myself! My pressed flower art, is fun. I never know what is going to happen. Lately I have been liking to create faces, totally new for me.
