Current Gallery: mandjarbluesexhibition ( piece)
These images are on display in Mandjar Blues, our collaborative exhibition at the stunning Mandurah Performing Arts Centre from January 21 to February 13, 2011. The exhibition, exploring the intriguing wetlands of the Peel Region in Western Australia has been nearly 5 years in the making.
The exhibition features 2 artists but 3 bodies of work:-
1. Debra Scidone - beautiful realistic watercolours and pastels
2. Chris Marshall - contemporary mixed media and digital art
3. Exponential Expressions (ExEx) - amazing collaborative mixed media canvases where Chris & Debra both work on the same canvas at the same time. Yes that’s right, 2 artists, 1 canvas!
The artists aim to draw attention to the ever encroaching development on one of WA’s most beautiful but fragile wetland environments. Each collaborative canvas contains the stamp of the “lanac” scattered between its many layers. The “lanac” (an imaginary but curious, crustacean creature) is a lino-cut based on an aerial view of a canal development.
The artworks in this gallery are our collaborative canvases where we both work on the same canvas at the same time! We have great fun creating them and hope you enjoy viewing them.

Where the original artwork is for sale the price is in Australian dollars. Please note, print prices are in US Dollars.
