"TRIBAL RHYTHMS" the series is a blend of Africa and America. Abstract mixed media compositions inspired by African masks, sculptures and iconic American metaphors comprise this unique contemporary style. "I work with a variety of mediums and use them all instinctively." I've created my own way of communicating, an artistic language, through the emotional and intuitive use of intense color, rich surface textures and the juxtaposition of stylized shapes.These elements also transform the pictorial image into a work of art that has meaning while transforming the canvas into a rich opulent surface that invites you to take a closer look.
