Current Gallery: onwingsandchildren ( piece)
There is something that takes place when I draw that is quite metaphoric to how I aspire to live. The moment I let go of the outcome of the piece is the moment I am no longer the artist...I am simply the conduit allowing the art to flow through me. My best works are those that happen during this release. I am frequently in awe of how effortless my art becomes and how it makes no difference which pencil I use or the type of paper, etc. The perfect piece is created through me not because of me. When I begin to believe that I am responsible for the outcome of the art, the piece becomes forced and I struggle.
