I was honored to have Hillside Winery (http://hillsidewine.com) located in Sevierville, Tennessee, use some of my butterfly photos for the labels of their wine bottles. My Hillside-Winery gallery is a collection of the butterfly photos that were used to create the labels for the wine bottles. All but one of the butterfly photos were taken in and native to Tennessee, USA, which complements the winemaker's Tennessee wines! Below is a list of the wines and the name of the butterfly that is pictured on the label. DRY WINES: Gulf Fritillary Butterfly on the Sangiovese wine bottle label; Variegated Fritillary Butterfly on the Zinfandel wine bottle label; Spicebush Swallowtail Butterfly on the Pinot Grigio wine bottle label; SEMI-SWEET WINES: Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly on the Raspberry Blush wine bottle label; Black Swallowtail Butterfly on the Don Rosso wine bottle label; SWEET WINES: Painted Lady Butterfly on the Cantina Bianco wine bottle label; Monarch Butterfly on the Vino Rosso wine bottle label; Malaysian Blue Clipper Butterfly on the Black and Blue wine bottle label. This is the only butterfly that is not native to Tennessee; SPARKLING WINES: Red Spotted Purple Butterfly on the Sonata wine bottle label; Great Spangled Fritillary Butterfly on the Hillside Spumante wine bottle label; Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Swirls of Joy on the Raspberry Frizzante label; Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly on the Muscadine Frizzante wine bottle label; AND.... Eastern Tiger Swallowtail on the label of Hillside Winery's Natural Spring Water bottle!
