Current Gallery: autumnleaves ( piece)
Up-close photos of fallen leaves within an urban environment . These were taken in the city of San Francisco, my home. Leaves on the sidewalks, in gutters, and in the street. Leaves caught in fences, on car windshields, in puddles, on porches...wherever I find them. I am mesmerized by the beauty of their decay -- in essence, their dying. Amidst the grit and grime, the cement and asphalt, the traffic and the hubbub of urban life, thousands of leaves, each one unique, fall, skid, flutter, nestle, collect, tumble, drift and float their way back into the earth. On the way, they grace the city with their ever-changing, shapes, colors, motions and textures. I am obsessed with them, and I love them.
