Current Gallery: robotart ( piece)
These images have all been generated using a robot, acrylic paint and paint brushes.
Why Robots?
I make art that reflects our life in the 21st century. So I developed a way of painting that uses a smart device, a small autonomous walking robot, as a tool for making the painting.
Why Cactus?
Science took a very long time to understand the prickly pear cactus genus. Most of these cacti live longer than people, so it is difficult for a single individual to really see what goes on. The cactus images resonant for me because they involve a long and very successful struggle to survive in harsh conditions. Also, their history involves a struggle on our part to understand them.
