Artist Statement After studying illustration at Art Center College of Design, Peter moved to Brooklyn, New York where he got a book deal to write and illustrate his first picture book FLIGHT OF THE DODO. Since then he’s written and illustrated numerous award-winning, bestselling picture books including THE CURIOUS GARDEN, CHILDREN MAKE TERRIBLE PETS, MR. TIGER GOES WILD and the Caldecott Honor winning CREEPY CARROTS! His first two illustrated novels for children are THE WILD ROBOT and THE WILD ROBOT ESCAPES.
